SocialGood.com

At Social Good, we have always believed that the spaces where people gather on the weekends to learn, explore, and enjoy themselves are the beating heart of our communities. Whether it is a child marveling at a dinosaur in a natural history museum, a family spending an afternoon at the zoo, or a quiet morning walk through a botanical garden, these institutions provide the essential leisure and educational activities that make our world a better place.

Yet, for too long, the brilliant teams leading these organizations have been held back by a silent, frustrating bottleneck: fragmented, decade-old legacy software built for a different era. Today, we are taking a massive, intentional stride forward to change that. We are thrilled to officially announce the launch of our new digital home: SocialGood.com.

This brand-new web experience isn’t just a domain change; it is a profound commitment to delivering even more tools, cloud-native resources, and tailored solutions to the arts and culture sector.

From a Napkin Sketch to a Nationwide Infrastructure

To understand where we are going, it is vital to ground ourselves in where we came from. In 2015, our founder, Rick Hernandez, started this journey with a simple, driven focus: helping local non-profits overcome their unique data and software challenges. Armed with just a few dollars in startup capital and a deep desire to serve his community, Rick set out to build software for organizations that the large monolithic tech vendors in the space had completely overlooked.

By 2019, a pivotal moment arrived. While working closely with a client navigating a complex legacy CRM system, our engineering team developed a real-time Checkout experience that worked flawlessly. Word traveled fast across the cultural sector. What started as a tiny consulting practice shifted entirely into a mission-critical, product-based software company.

Over the years, we have scaled. We have proudly served more than 100+ organizations across the United States, ranging from lean, community-driven historical sites to massive, world-class institutions in almost every major city. We have had the immense privilege of empowering iconic institutions.

The Crucial Insights We Learned Along the Way

Managing operations for over 10 million patron transactions and 2.8M active memberships taught us critical, real-world insights about how cultural institutions actually function, and where legacy platforms fail them:

  • Fragmentation Stifles Mission: Most organizations are forced to run ticketing, donor management, email marketing, and memberships across five separate, disconnected platforms. Staff members spend half their lives doing manual data entry or wrestling with query tools just to patch data siloes together.
  • Training Overload is a Trap: Legacy systems demand months of expensive staff training. In an environment where team members naturally wear “all of the hats” on a daily basis, software should be an intuitive asset, not an administrative burden.
  • Friction Fractures Patron Loyalty: Modern guests expect a fast, painless digital interface. If an online checkout process requires too much information or takes too long, casual visitors walk away, costing the institution critical support.

Why Cultural Attractions Need Radical Support Right Now

We are living in an era of rapid technological acceleration, shifting demographics, and unpredictable economic environments. Government funding can dry up, donor expectations are evolving, and operating budgets are constantly under pressure.

Now more than ever, cultural organizations are overworked and under-resourced. They cannot afford to let clunky, mismatched technical problems drain their hours or distance them from their constituents.

Our mission has remained entirely consistent: we exist to drive tangible revenue and results to the arts and culture industry. We know that true operational health goes far beyond basic internal efficiencies. By providing tools that seamlessly unlock funding and maximize ticket sales, we increase operating budgets so these institutions can focus on what matters most: educating the public and improving our communities.

How the New SocialGood.com Serves the Sector

Our new website introduces an enterprise-grade cloud operating system built entirely from the ground up for the unique challenges of cultural organizations.

When you explore the new platform, you will see how we have packaged our core capabilities into highly clear, high-value pillars designed to handle every single operational touchpoint:

  • Frictionless Ticketing & Admissions: Introducing general admission, timed-entry, and group bookings optimized for the guest experience.
  • Automated Membership Management: Delivering digital membership cards straight to Apple and Google Wallets, alongside automated renewal sequences that maximize retention.
  • Integrated Donations & Fundraising: Embedding customizable giving opportunities directly into the ticket purchasing loop to transform casual visitors into lifelong advocates.
  • Unified Point of Sale & Terminals: Bridging the gap between digital transactions and physical counters with sleek on-site tap-to-pay terminals that instantly sync with a centralized cloud CRM.
  • Streamlined Field Trips & Group Sales: Replacing endless coordination spreadsheets with automated intake flows and direct billing paths.
